PINK-Out Expected as Wildkits Seek Postseason Clincher

Athletic director wants all fans to wear pink in support of the fight against breast cancer.

Evanston Township High School athletic director Chris Livatino has called for all Wildkit faithful to wear pink to the football game planned for tonight, Friday, October 9 against Glenbrook South in support of the fight against breast cancer.

“Presented by NorthShore University HealthSystem, PINK POMS will be given to spectators as they arrive, free hot chocolate will be served from the NorthShore Breast Cancer truck and there will be a raffle drawing for two pairs of tickets to the Chicago Bears vs Vikings game on Nov. 1,” Livatino wrote in an email to supporters Friday afternoon.

Prior to the game, the school will pay tribute to cancer fighters from Evanston on the message board during the playing of the National Anthem.

Things will also be interesting from the on-the-field perspective as ETHS is 4-2 and would clinch a playoff spot with a fifth win on the season. The Titans, meanwhile, are in must-win territory having already lost three games on the season.

“A high scoring game is anticipated as both teams know how to put points on the board with equally strong passing and running games,” Livatino said.
