Several Evanston Runners Finish Chicago Marathon
More than 100 Bank of America Chicago Marathon finishers on Sunday are from Evanston.

CHICAGO, IL -- Nearly 200 Evanston residents ran in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on Sunday.
The 26.2-mile course took runners through 29 Chicago neighborhoods, that went all the way north to Wrigley Field and south to U.S. Cellular Field.
Doug Mckenney, 34, was the first Evanston man to cross the finish line at 2:53:49 according to unofficial Chicago Marathon results. Camille Blackman, 22, finished first among Evanston women finishing with a time of 2:58:34.

Evanston's other top finishers included:
- Joseph Muldoon, 25, 2:56:42
- Steve Nate, 47, 2:57:50
- C Webster, 3:04:08
- Rene Leal Vizcaino, 26, 3:20:50
- Jessica Neushwander, 32, 3:26:12
Elite runners from Kenya dominated the race. Kenyan Abel Kirui finished first with a time of 2:11:22, beating out last year’s champion and fellow Kenyan Dickson Chum in the final mile. Florence Kiplagat, 29, was the top female finisher clocking in at 2:22:31. Results are still unofficial.
