Sketch of Man Who Tried to Rape Woman Pushing Stroller Released

A sketch has been released of the man who attacked the woman in Evanston's Brummel Park last month.

EVANSTON, IL - Evanston police have released a sketch of the suspect who attempted to sexually assault a woman pushing a toddler in a stroller last month at Brummel Park.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic man, 5'6" with a thin build and short hair and a thin beard.

He was wearing a red tank-top and grey pants at the time of the assault, which police say was 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31.

The victim, a 38-year-old Evanston woman, was pushing her two-year-old child in a stroller when the man struck her in the head, knocked her to the ground and began to remove her clothing.

The woman's screams and alert witnesses who rushed to the scene forced the man to flee on foot.
