Incidents and arrests from the Evanston Police Department blotter from Sept. 14 to Sept. 24.

EVANSTON, IL — The following information comes from the Evanston Police Department as a record of those arrested by police and incidents reported to police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indication of guilt and criminal charges, which represent merely accusations by the state, are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. All persons named are innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
INCIDENTS
HOME BURGLARIES
- Someone unsuccessfully tried to get into a single-family home through an unlocked door around 10:45 a.m. on Sept. 13 in the 800 block of Monroe Street.
- Between noon on Sept. 15 and 7 a.m. on Sept. 16, someone opened the door to a garage in the 700 block of Michigan Avenue and stole a bicycle and camera from inside.
- Someone broke into an apartment in the 2100 block of Sherman Avenue between noon and 6 p.m. on Sept. 17, stealing jewelry, bedding, clothes, documents and stereo equipment.
- Someone stole a bicycle from an unlocked garage in the 700 block of Hinman Avenue between 9 a.m. on Sept. 17 and 9 a.m. on Sept. 18.
- Someone forced open a door to a single-family home between 3 p.m. on Sept. 17 and 8 a.m. on Sept. 18 in the 2000 block of Grey Avenue, but nothing was reported stolen.
- Someone tried to steal a bicycle from a garage between 11 p.m. on Sept. 19 and 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 20.
- Someone forced open the door to a garage between 7 p.m. on Sept. 20 and 7:50 a.m. on Sept. 21 in the 600 block of Case Place, stealing various tools.
PACKAGE THEFTS

- Between 1 and 4 p.m. on Sept. 11, someone stole a package containing furniture from the common area of an apartment building in the 1500 block of Maple Avenue.
- Between about 11 a.m. on Sept. 15 and 9 a.m. on Sept. 16, someone stole a package containing clothes from an apartment common area in the 800 block of Hinman Avenue.
- A package containing a tablet worth more than $500 was stolen from the common area of an apartment between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sept. 18 in the 3200 block of Central Street.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLES
- Someone shattered all four windows of a car parked in a residential driveway between 7 p.m. on Sept. 16 in the 1800 block of Crain Street.
- Someone punctured all four tires of a car parked in a residential driveway between midnight and 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 20 in the 1300 block of McDaniel Avenue.

ARRESTS
Waltor L. Carson, 26, of the 2200 block of East 68th Street in Chicago, was arrested at 8:12 a.m. on Sept. 12 in the 2600 block of Ridge Avenue and charged with burglary in connection with an incident reported on the morning of Aug. 27.
Thomas J. Dalton, 33, of the 14120 block of Doffin Street in Cedar Lake, Indiana, and Pedro D. Jimenez, 26, of the 7500 block of Grand Avenue in Hammond, Indiana, were arrested shortly before 2 a.m. on Sept. 13 in an alley in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue and charged with possession of methamphetamine. Latisha D. Hood, 26, of the 7500 block North Hoyne Avenue in Chicago, was arrested around 3:15 p.m. on Sept. 13 at the Evanston Police Department and charged with domestic battery.
Marcos Rodriguez, 19, of the 7300 block of North Winchester Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 4:07 p.m. on Sept. 13 at the Evanston Police Department and charged with battery.
Norman Washington, 38, of the 800 block of Sherman Avenue in Evanston, was arrested at his home and charged with aggravated battery following an incident around 8:45 p.m. on Sept. 13.
Michael S. Bambouyani, 31, of the 5900 block of West Irving Park Road in Chicago, was arrested at 11:15 a.m. on Sept. 14 in the 900 block of Davis Street and charged with battery. He was arrested again at 9:25 a.m. on Sept. 20 at the same location and charged with trespassing.
Wesley P. Nam, 25, of the 600 block of Mill Circle in Wheeling, was arrested at 11:20 a.m. on Sept. 14 in the 1800 block of Ridge Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Taylor R. Fantozzi, 21, of the 3800 block of Twin Oaks Drive in Wonder Lake, and Peter F. Williams, 22, of the 400 block of Pine Manor Drive in Wilmette, were arrested around 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 14 and charged with retail theft at the Target, 22o9 Howard St.
Hari H. Lele, 22, of the 1200 block of Forest Avenue in Evanston, was arrested at 7:08 p.m. on Sept. 14 and charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.
Kevin H. Humes, 39, of the 600 block of Sherman Avenue in Evanston, was arrested at his home at 1:15 a.m. on Sept. 15 and charged with violation of an active order of protection.
Antoni F. Sierra, 21, of the 4000 block of North Pulaski Road in Chicago, was arrested at 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 16 and charged with driving under the influence.
Anne F. Nash, 48, of the 3300 block of Hartzell Street in Evanston, was arrested at listed address at 4:41 p.m. on Sept. 17 and charged with trespassing.
Jason O. Artwell, 33, of the 1800 block of Monroe Street in Evanston, was arrested at his home at 8:22 p.m. on Sept. 17 and charged with domestic battery. He was also arrested at the same location at 5:15 p.m. on Sept. 18 and again charged with domestic battery.
James B. Bolden, 50, no listed address, was arrested in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue shortly before 10 p.m. on Sept. 17 and charged with criminal damage to city-owned property.
Steven D. Bradley, 37, of the 2000 block of Pratt Court in Evanston, was arrested at 9:50 p.m. on Sept. 18 in the 2000 block of Maple Avenue and charged with domestic battery.
Kevin D. Jackson, 26, of the 1500 block of North Artesian Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 12:18 p.m. on Sept. 19 in the 950 block of Dobson Street and charged with domestic battery.
Michael B. Smart, 37, of the 1400 block of Oakton Street in Evanston, and Layton J. Jones, 25, of the 7500 block of North Bell Avenue in Chicago, were arrested shortly before noon on Sept. 20 and charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver.
Alejandro Hernandez-Morales, 35, of the 900 block of North Avers Avenue in Chicago, was arrested shortly after 4 a.m. on Sept. 21 near the intersection of Sheridan Road and Juneway Terrace and charged with driving under the influence.
Norman C. King, 48, of the 2300 block of Dempster Street in Evanston, was arrested at 1:17 p.m. on Sept. 21 in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue and charged with trespassing.
Joseph M. Green, 24, of the 1400 block of Howard Street in Chicago, was arrested at 5:18 p.m. on Sept. 21 and charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver.
Ryan E. Miles, 41, of the 100 block of Clyde Avenue in Evanston, was arrested at 6:38 p.m. on Sept. 21 in his block of residence and charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver.
Raven L. Jaffe, 25, of the 1900 block of Darrow Avenue in Evanston, was arrested at 8:53 p.m. on Sept. 21 at her home and charged with domestic battery.
Jordana M. Fox, 36, of the 6600 block of North Damen Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 2:10 p.m. on Sept. 22 in the 300 block of Dempster Street and charged with misdemeanor aggravated assault after reportedly threatening a person with a knife in an apartment.
Patrick M. McRae, 30, of the 800 block of Royal Glen Drive in Cary, was arrested at 10:37 p.m. on Sept. 22 in the 1000 block of Church Street and charged with assault.
Alfredo Garcia, 19, of the 800 block of Dobson Street in Evanston, was arrested shortly before 1 a.m. on Sept. 23 in the 100 block of Ridge Avenue and charged with driving under the influence.
Tamer T. Mindaye, 41, of the 9200 block of Drake Avenue in Evanston, was arrested shortly after 5 p.m. on Sept. 23 near the intersection of Lyons Street and Ashland Avenue and charged with driving under the influence.
Ryan A. Illg, 28, of the 900 block of Judson Avenue in Evanston, was arrested shortly after 2 a.m. on Sept. 24 at his home and charged with domestic battery.
