SO WHAT'S YR FAVORITE TOMATO?

In 2010 Mother Earth News had an article on "The Best Tomatoes to Grow in the Midwest." The best three "Slicers" were 'Brandywine,' 'Early Girl,' and 'Cherokee Purple.'  The best three "Cherries" were 'Super Sweet 100,' 'Black Cherry,' and 'Sungold.' The best non-red was 'Cherokee Purple.' So what are you growin' this year? The tomato I just planted in my container garden is Sungold F1. Last September I was persuaded to pop one in my mouth and it was XQZT--full of juicy sweetness plus tangy flavor. I asked a food-wise farmer at the Evanston Market about Sungold and he said,"I can't get my grandkids to come into the house--they're out there eating Sungold like it's candy." He added that the tomato was "vigorous and prolific." But a sweet orange-yellow one-inch tomato may not be the ideal for many of us. So what's yr choice this year?
