Suspended ESPN Reporter Britt McHenry Attended Northwestern

Washington D.C. based now, McHenry studied at the Medill School of Journalism years before her viral rant against a tow lot employee.

Britt McHenry, the ESPN reporter based in Washington, D.C. that was suspended for one week when a video of her verbally abusing a Virginia tow lot employee surfaced this week, studied at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.

According to our friends at the Arlington (Virginia) Patch, the 28-year-old reporter and New Jersey native had made seven “foul” statements shown in the video while retrieving her vehicle.

“I’m in the news sweetheart, I will [expletive deleted] sue this place.” was among the most shocking.

“I’m on television and you’re in a f****** trailer, honey.” and “Lose some weight, baby girl” were others.

McHenry has been the subject of much criticism since the video was released by LiveLeak on Thursday, including from ChicagoNow blogger Kathy Mathews, who stated McHenry’s “skill set should include some humility.”
