Thursday will have a combination of high temperatures and rain scheduled to begin around 10 am. In some areas the temperature could reach 50º F. This will mean flooding in viaducts. For gardeners the only problem is erosion of soil in higher areas and wet feet. Plants like lavender and salvia don't like wet roots. If everything dries out soon they probably won't be hurt, because the ground is still frozen. But if they are in a lower area or are continually damp, they will be lost.
Some plants, like Japanese iris, handle wetness and flooding very well.
