Submitted by the City of Evanston
A temporary traffic control plan will be implemented on Forest Ave., from Dempster to Greenwood Streets, on Thursday, January 22 and Friday, January 23 to allow for sewer repair work.
Work will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and will involve excavation and restoration of the street. During this time, northbound traffic on Forest Ave. will be detoured west onto Dempster St., north onto Judson Ave., and east onto Greenwood St. to Forest Ave. Southbound traffic on Forest Ave. will remain open. See map for detour route.

“No Parking” signs will be posted. Drivers are asked to take extreme caution when entering the area from both the northbound and southbound lanes due to workers and equipment in the street. Arrow boards and signage will assist drivers traveling through the area during work hours.
