The two people inside, a 37-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman, later identified as Jordana M. Fox, refused to open the door and continued to disturb their neighbors by yelling and arguing, according to police reports.
Evanston police said they warned the pair that they would be charged with disorderly conduct if they did not calm down and open the door.

Eventually, the man opened the door and was taken into custody. As Fox opened the door, she kicked one of the officers twice—once in the genitals and once in the leg, according to Evanston police.
Fox was changed with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and felony aggravated battery to a police officer, police said.
The officer was treated and released from Evanston Hospital, according to a police spokesperson.
