Attention Old Mustangs: Class of 1974 Plans 50-Year Reunion
The Evergreen Park Community High School class of 1974 will be holding its 50-year reunion Oct. 12 at Chicago Gaelic Park.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — In 1974, heiress Patty Hearst was kidnapped, chimpanzee Nim Chimsky signed his first word, Richard Nixon became the first U.S. president to resign, Muhammad Ali beat George Foreman by a knockout in the Rumble In The Jungle, “The Sting” won the Academy Award for best picture, and “The Way We Were” topped the Billboard charts.
The class of 1974 will be marking 50 years since they’re traipsed through the halls of Evergreen Park Community High School with a reunion Saturday, Oct. 12, from 6 to 11 p.m. The reunion committee has booked the Tara Room at Chicago Gaelic Park, 6119 W. 147th St., Oak Forest.

The evening features a buffet dinner, cash bar and a DJ featuring the class of ‘74’s own Matt Rademaker. Tickets are $60 per person (sorry, no walk-ins). Zelle payments to: epclassof1974@gmail.com, or email for an address to send a check to.
A pizza party is also planned at 6 p.m. Oct. 10 at Roseangela’s, 2807 W. 95th St., Evergreen Park.
