Author Discusses Equity In Education At Evergreen Park Library
Educator and author Dr. Don Parker discusses his book "Be the Driving Force: Leading Your School on the Road to Equity," Thursday, Jan. 11.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — The Evergreen Park Public Library will welcome educator and author Dr. Don Parker at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11. Dr. Parker will discuss his new book “Be the Driving Force: Leading Your School on the Road to Equity.”
In the book, Parker discusses how school leaders and teachers can collaborate to lead transformational change in schools to optimize learning for ALL students.
He is a former teacher, dean of students, assistant principal, principal, adjunct professor, and now is a national speaker, education consultant, professional development provider, and two-time author.

Parker resides in Evergreen Park with his wife, Claudia, and two daughters, the younger of whom has a rare genetic disease called FoxP1 syndrome and autism. He and his family regularly promote autism and FoxP1 gene mutation awareness and support the FoxP1 and autism communities.
Books will be available for purchase and signing. Registration is requested. The Evergreen Park Public Library is located at 9400 S. Troy Ave.
