Boy Struck By Car Riding Bike In Evergreen Park

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — A boy was struck by a vehicle in Evergreen Park Thursday afternoon when he entered the roadway on his bicycle, police said.

Evergreen Park police responded to the 9700 block of Kedzie Avenue around 2:20 p.m. for a reported vehicle vs. pedestrian traffic crash. Police said a vehicle that had been traveling northbound on Kedzie, struck a boy who had just entered the roadway on his bike, police said.

The boy suffered injuries to his leg and was transported to Christ Hospital for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries.
