Prosecutors said parolee stole ten boxes of Breathe Right strips.

A man on parole for retail theft was stopped by loss prevention agents when he attempted to leave a Walmart store with stolen merchandise, prosecutors said in court Monday.
According to the charges, Ronald Smith, 53, walked out with ten boxes of Breathe Right strips that he had stolen from Walmart, 2500 W. 95th St., Evergreen Park, on Dec. 20.

Prosecutors said that Smith is currently on parole for retail theft and has three prior felony convictions for the same offense.
Smith was serving a one-year sentence in the Illinois Department of Corrections for a 2014 retail theft. He was released this past April.

Bail was set at $50,000. His next court appearance is Jan. 7 in Bridgeview.
