Calling For Vendors For "Memories To Go"
Preparations moving forward for annual Evergreen Park Village Resale Event in September
The Evergreen Park Senior Council is busy at work on this year’s edition of their annual “Memories To Go” Village-wide Garage Sale.
The festive event takes place on Saturday, September 7, from 9am-2pm at the Daniel Capuano Ice Rink at Yukich Fields, 89th and Kedzie in Evergreen Park.
Registration for booth space has been ongoing since late Spring, but interested vendors can take advantage of the Early Bird signup if they register before Wednesday, July 31, which gives them $5 off the booth cost. A 10’x10’ spot inside the Ice Rink is available for $50, and an exterior 9’x 17’ spot can be had for $35.

Vendors are asked to bring their own tables and/or display arrangements.
Our experience is that “anything goes” at these “Memories to Go” events, be it bicycles, children’s toys, artwork, unique clothing, yard tools, knick-knacks, etc.

One vendor from 2023 advised: “People come through the sale because they are in the mood to buy something. They have a few dollars on them. So have some inexpensive little items at your table. You sell a few of those to get started, then pretty soon you’ve recouped your investment, so that when you do sell your bigger items, it’s clear profit. And many vendors use Zelle or Venmo.”
The sale benefits the Evergreen Park Senior Council, a 501c3 organization, who then supports programs for seniors through our EP Office of Citizens’ Services, such as their mini-bus transportation service.
The Senior Council is hoping to pack the house with vendors, as they have for many years. Applications are available online for download; or, paper applications can be picked up, filled out and turned in at the OCS office in the Community Center, 3450 W. 97th Street.
And of course, the public can come through “Memories to Go” at no cost.
Who knows? You may just find the treasure that’s been on your bucket list.
