Cannabis and Ecstasy Found In Fanta Cans With Fake Tops: Police

Fanta cans had fake tops with pot and ecstasy hidden inside, police said.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- Evergreen Park cops found two Fanta cans stuffed with pot and ecstasy during an early morning traffic stop. Paris Fortune, 36, of Chicago, appeared before Cook County Judge Michael on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and manufacture and delivery of cannabis. Fortune was also issued traffic citations.

According to the charges, Fortune was spotted driving a vehicle with expired plates around 6:30 a.m. May 2. During a search of Fortune’s car, officers found two Fanta cans with fake tops. Inside one of the cans was 13 baggies packaged with cannabis tipping weighing 21.6 grams. The other can had 9 pills of ecstasy amounting to 2 grams.

Bail was set at $25,000. Fortune is due back court May 22 in Bridgeview.
