EP Recreation Department Preschool Registration Open!

As the Evergreen Park Recreation Department continues to march into spring and summer, there is one program above all that is near and dear to them and to the residents of Evergreen Park.

The Recreation Department Preschool Program has been a favorite staple of the department for over forty years, reaching our young Evergreen Park students age three through five.

Held for many years at the old Maher Community Center building, the program expanded with the opening of the brand new Community Center building that opened at 3450 W. 97th Street in 2018 with all its amenities.

Under the supervision of Director Sarah Childers-Brady, the preschool offers a curriculum that includes number, letter, word, color and shape identification; arts and crafts, fine and gross motor skills, story time, playtime and socialization. In addition, the 5-day program offers an introduction to countries around the world, science explorations and extended math concepts. All classrooms have two teachers. All are CPR-certified.

There is a variety of day and pricing options available, and extended day slots (until 2pm) are offered if needed. All supplies, fees and special events are already included in the price with no additional costs.

Registration for fall preschool is ongoing and will continue until classes are filled or the sessions begin. Children who attend must be three years old and fully toilet-trained. You are asked to provide the child’s birth certificate, proof of residency and a $50 deposit, which is applied to the first pre-school payment.

Spring Soccer Registration Extended For One Week!
EPRD Soccer is a recreational league, helping to develop and promote the sport while preparing our players for the next level of the game. Open to kids age 4-14, the registration fee is $95 for residents and $105 for non-residents. You can register online, but you can always give the Recreation Department a call at (708) 229-3373. The registration deadline has been extended to Friday, March 21!
