EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Evergreen Park residents can pack up the holidays in an environmentally friendly way by recycling their trees and string lights.

Deposit broken or unwanted string lights through Jan. 16 at Village Hall, 9418 S. Kedzie Ave., or the Community Center, 3450 W. 97th St.

Throughout the month of January, live trees can be placed on the curb for pick-up by Flood Brothers, the village’s new waste hauler. Trees will be picked up on residents’ regular garbage collection day.
