EP Snow Routes Will Be In Effect With 2 Or More Inches of Snow

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Up to 8 inches of snow is expected in anticipation of a winter storm on Friday.

Whenever two or more inches of snow falls within 24 hours in the Village of Evergreen Park, all vehicles are required to comply with the following, according to the ordinances:

• "All vehicles shall be parked on the even side of the street on even days and on the odd side of the street on odd days.
• For the purpose of definition of this section, even and odd sides of street shall pertain to even and odd house numbers.
• For the purpose of definition of this section, the term "day" shall mean that day during which the accumulation takes place by 7:00 a.m."

It's also against village rules to stop, stand, park or leave a vehicle unattended on streets designated as "snow routes." When removing snow off your own property, remember you're not allowed to blow or shovel snow into the streets.
