Evergreen Park Community High School Welcomes New Staff Members For 2026-2027 School Year
New staff hires include an industrial technology teacher, a school psychologist, a public relations director, and a TMS paraprofessional.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL—Evergreen Park Community High School welcomed four new hires as the 2026-2027 school year begins this week.
The newest additions to the EPCHS full-time staff are:
Mike Glennon, Director of Public Relations

Glennon will serve as director of public relations for EPCHS in addition to his role as head coach of the Mustangs’ varsity boys basketball team. He comes to EPCHS with five years of teaching experience, and has a degree in marketing from Saint Louis University. His hobbies include basketball training and writing music and he also runs the Mike Glennon Basketball program.
Sydney Winters, School Psychologist

Winters will serve as the school psychologist for EPCHS. This will be her first year as a school psychologist after previously working as a peer mentor and college financial aid specialist. She has earned an M.A./Ed.S. degree in school psychology from Governors State University and a B.S. degree in clinical/community psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She’s married to Jay Winters, a hearing behavioral specialist at a charter school, and enjoys travel, art and yoga among her favorite hobbies.
William “Bill” Merchantz, Industrial Technology Teacher (EPCHS, Class of 2003)
Alumnus Merchantz returns to EPCHS as an industrial technology teacher with 20 years of teaching experience. He has a B.S. degree in technology education and an M.S. degree in STEM education from Illinois State University. He and his wife, Abby, have three children: David, 11; Freddy, 4; and Simon, 1. Outside of teaching, Merchantz is a corner worker for the Sports Car Club of America and has attended every Indianapolis 500 since 2006. He’s also a huge “Back to the Future” movie fan.
Olando White, Paraprofessional/TMS Supervisor
White comes to EPCHS as a paraprofessional and TMS supervisor with four years of teaching experience and an associate’s degree from Malcolm X College. In addition to his role as a paraprofessional, White will also be a coach for the football and boys basketball programs at EPCHS. His hobbies include playing sports and music, and he loves to sing.
