Evergreen Park Library Offers Curbside Service During Quarantine
Starting Monday, May 11, patrons can reserve library materials by phone, email or online for curbside pickup or home delivery .

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — If you’ve missed going to the Evergreen Park Public Library, starting Monday, May 11, curbside pickup service for library materials will be available. Patrons can request items on the shelf by placing a hold online in the SWAN catalog, by phone at 708-422-8522, or by email to order@evergreenparklibrary.org.
Pickup hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The library will notify patrons when their items are ready for pickup. Patrons should not attempt to pick up their items until they’ve been notified. Items will be held for pickup for 3 days. If patrons are unable to pick up materials, home delivery can be arranged. Unwanted hold items can be canceled online or contact the library for assistance. Return materials through the book drop.
Library staff will follow recommended CDC guidelines for handling library materials, including face masks and gloves. Items must be quarantined for 72 hours before being checked in. which means library materials will stay on patrons’ account for approximately three days. At this time no overdue fines are being charged on any library materials.

Patrons should expect longer than usual wait times for materials to be ready for pickup due to the extended quarantine time for returned materials. Items may not be picked up at other SWAN libraries, nor is interlibrary loan of other libraries' items available.
