Evergreen Park Recruiting Police Officers

Apply to be an Evergreen Park police officer before June 6, 2018. Find out what's needed and what's required.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- The Evergreen Park Police Department is taking applications for police officers. The online application and required documentation must be received by 4 p.m. on June 6, 2018. Interested candidates must be at least 21 years old and have successfully completed 30 semester hours from an accredited college before this date.

There is a non-refundable $35 application fee. Hiring is being handled by Industrial/ Organizational Solutions. Applications may be purchased online. The following documentation is also needed:

  • Completed online application (available after purchase)
  • Consent and release agreement (available after purchase)
  • Copy of high school diploma/GED
  • Copy of valid driver’s license
  • Copy of birth record
  • Original/Official college transcripts
  • Copy of valid POWER test card

Candidates must be able to pass a written exam, criminal background check and drug screen. (Read more about the requirements.) Three NCJOSI² study guides including elite, enhanced and standard, are also available for purchase. Mail or hand-deliver the application and required documents by 4 p.m. June 6 to IOS at: 1127 S. Testing will take place on July 7, 2018 in Chicago. Arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. with a photo-ID to sign in. No late arrivals will be admitted. The exact testing location will be provided to eligible candidates approximately one week prior to the exam date.
