Evergreen Park Switches To Smart911 Emergency Alert System

Residens can sign up for Smart911, a new emergency alert notification service.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- The Village of Evergreen Park is transitioning to a new citizens emergency phone alert system called Smart911. The village will no long be part of the Everbridge emergency alert system.

Smart911 allows residents to provide personal, medical and situational information when they call 9-1-1. The information will be stored and used to help first responders better respond in an emergency.

911 operators will also be able to initiate texts with callers, who may be deaf, hard of hearing, or unable to talk.

To receive emergency alerts from Oak Lawn Regional Emergency Communications which serves the communities of Oak Lawn, Alsip, Bridgeview, Burbank, Evergreen Park and Hodgkins, residents must register with the new service using the Smart911 link.
