Facebook-Arranged Pot Deal Ends in Bust: Cops
Chicago Ridge police move in when confidential source makes buy with Facebook acquaintance, prosecutor said.

Chicago Ridge police interrupted a pot deal that was allegedly arranged on Facebook.
Victor Hernandez, 27, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a charge of manufacture and delivery of cannabis.
The prosecutor said that Chicago Ridge officers set up a controlled buy with a confidential source, who arranged to buy marijuana from Hernandez over Facebook.

At 10:30 p.m. May 10, the source and Hernandez agreed to meet in the 10400 block of South Ridgeland Ave. the prosecutor said.
The confidential source was supplied with pre-marked bills. When Hernandez pulled up at the rendezvous spot, police said he got out of his vehicle and popped open the trunk.

The prosecutor said Hernandez pulled a duffle bag out of the trunk, where he retrieved a bag of marijuana. The total weight was around 29 grams.
Hernandez has no prior criminal background.
Bail was set at $10,000. The judge also ordered random drug trusting while the case is pending.
