Former Most Holy Redeemer Principal Dies

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- A former principal at Most Holy Redeemer School in Evergreen Park has died. Sister Lynn Welsh, OP, who served as principal at MHR from 1993 until 2001, died recently.

Welsh moved to Florida after retiring from MHR in 2001, according to the school's Facebook account. She lived in Fort Myers at the time of her death, according to an obituary on Legacy.com.

"We thank her for her service and mourn her passing," the post read.

Services are planned for St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Fort Myers for Tuesday.

Sister Welsh was 81.
