During the ride, the 62-year-old Savage threatened to blow up the bus and kill the other person driving the paratransit van, the detective said.
The driver wished to sign a complaint. The detective told the judge she was able to pick Savage out of a photo array and bus video. Court records also indicated that Savage appeared intoxicated during his tirade.

The detective told the judge that he spoke to Savage, who said he had moved from his last known address in Park Forest and was now living at “14 W. Roosevelt.”
Savage also allegedly volunteered to turn himself into police, but never showed up.
When police went to Savage's residence to arrest him, “I was looking on both sides of the street when I realized that the address was a bridge,” the detective said.
“That’s near Manny’s [deli],” Cook County Judge Peter Felice said.
Judge Felice issued an arrest warrant for $100 cash.
