High School Student Accused of Swiping Cash from Register
Student just turned 18, worked at Walmart for seven months, prosecutor said.

An 18-year-old high school student is accused of stealing $2,645 from a cash register where she worked at Walmart.
Prosecutors said that Sabrina Camarena had been under investigation since April 7 by loss-prevention agents for taking money out of the cash register at Walmart, 2500 W. 95th St., Evergreen Park.
According to the charges, Camarena was observed on April 20 allegedly removing $1,000 from the cash register. When she was confronted by loss prevention agents, she returned the cash.

Police said she also admitted to taking $446 the day before. Camarena is also believed to have taken $1,199 from the cash register, for a total of $2,645.
The assistant public defender told the judge that Camarena just turned 18 and is a high school student. She worked at Walmart for seven months.

Judge Felice set bail at $16,000. Camarena’s next court hearing is May 11 in Bridgeview.
