Hometown Man Caught With 8 Bags of Potpourri: PROSECUTOR
Evergreen Park cops find 39 grams of synthetic cannabis in traffic stop, prosecutor says.
EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- A Hometown man was arrested after police found 39 grams of synthetic cannabis during a traffic stop, prosecutors said.
Jonathan Hill, 21, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on charges of possession of a controlled substance.
According to the charges, Evergreen Park police were on patrol around 5:20 p.m. March 16 when they ran the plates of a vehicle that showed the driver, later identified as Hill, as having a suspended driver’s license. He was pulled over near 95th Street and Harding Avenue.

The prosecutor said police found a pipe and eight small bags labeled Potpourri, which later tested positive for synthetic cannabinoids. In addition to the possession charge, Hill was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license.
The assistant public defender told the judge that Hill was an Indiana resident, but police and court records say he lives in Hometown.
