Presenting Evergreen Park's Class of 2020 Graduates

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — COVID-19 has cheated the Class of 2020 out of graduation and all the other milestones and rites of passage. They missed competing in sports, exhibiting in art fairs, performing in plays, concerts and all the things that make you unique. Their year was comprised of face masks, social distancing and online learning. Years from now, when they tell people they graduated in 2020, people will know they witnessed history.

We know many high school and eighth grade graduates are feeling sadness about missing these milestone high school events. Parents and grandparents are missing watching their special student walk across the stage to accept their diploma and receive their awards.

Teachers and parents have pulled out all the stops to make it up to their graduates. We hope that this will give the community a way to share their pride in our Class of 2020 high school graduates.

Brooke is headed University of Iowa to study mechanical engineering.

Isabelle Carney, Central Middle School

Isabelle is entering Evergreen Park Community High School. "Congratulations Izzy! We are so proud of you and all of your hard work in middle school!"

Tyler Kummer, Central Middle School

Beau O'Connell, Central Middle School

Isabeau Shalack, Evergreen Park Community High School

Mary is going to Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School. "We are so proud of you!!!! You have worked so hard and you are going to do awesome at McAuley!!!! You are such beautiful person inside and out and can’t wait to see all the amazing accomplishments that you will do in high school!!!!!"

Bianca DeJesus, Evergreen Park Community High School

Bianca is headed for Calumet College of St . Joseph. "You are one of the hardest working individuals I know! I am deeply saddened that you will not be able to walk across that stage to receive your diploma but I know that you will overcome this challenge just like you have all others. Love you, Mom!
