Hickory Hills Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Young Siblings
The man allegedly told his family, "I need help."

HICKORY HILLS, IL -- A Hickory Hills man is accused of sexually assaulting two young relatives over a year-long period, prosecutors said. Jozef Michniak, 29, appeared before Judge John Gallagher on a class X felony charge of criminal sexual assault. He turned himself into police on Wednesday.
According to the charges, Michniak assaulted one of the children on Dec. 15 when they were visiting his family’s home in the 9400 block of South 80th Court. Michniak is accused of assaulting the child when they were playing video games.
The child told his mother the next day. The prosecutor said that Michniak confessed to assaulting the child and the child’s sibling over a year-long period. He allegedly told a family member “I need help.”

Bail was set at $100,000. The judge ordered Michniak not to have any contact with children under 18 and electronic home monitoring should he post bond. Michniak is due back in court Jan. 31 in Bridgeview.
