Search Launched For Missing Evergreen Park Boy, 14

Zechariah Anderson, 14, was last seen Feb. 7. He may be a runaway, police said.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- Evergreen Park police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 14-year-old boy who was last seen around 7:45 a.m. Feb. 7. Zechariah Anderson was last seen walking north towards 87th Street, according to family members. Police did not provide the block where Zechariah lived.

Earlier in the morning of Feb. 7, Zechariah was found by Chicago police around 3:45 a.m. at a Citgo station at 3645 W 79th St. The youth was returned home. Evergreen Park police describe him as a chronic runaway.

Zechariah is African American and has a medium complexion, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5-feet-3-inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. He was wearing blue jogging pants, gold shirt, and a dark Polo brand coat.
