Services Set for Beloved Beverly Man, 27
Mt. Carmel grad and Beverly resident Michael McArdle described as "lighting up a room."

Visitation will be held Wednesday for a Beverly man who died after a car crash in Goose Island Saturday.
Michael McArdle, 27, of the 9700 block of South Winchester, died after the car he was driving struck a pole in the 1100 block of West Division Street in Goose Island, Tribune Media reports. He was pronounced dead Saturday at 6:43 a.m. A 28-year-old passenger was also injured and hospitalized, in good condition by Saturday night.
McArdle, 27, was a bouncer at Cork and Kerry known for his laugh and upbeat demeanor. The Beverly resident was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School, and a player on the renowned Caravan football team.

“He was a great person to have at the front of the bar because you got that happy vibe when you walked in the door,” McArdle’s coworker Ryan Fitzpatrick told DNAInfo.
McArdle was also an alum of St. Barnabas School in Beverly and the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. He is the son of John and Adrienne McArdle, brother of Lauren and Emily, and grandson of Adrian Melillo.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at St. Barnabas Church at 10134 S. Longwood Drive.
