Temporary Closure Planned For CSX Rail Crossing In Evergreen Park

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — As if getting stopped by a stalled CSX train for an hour or more isn’t annoying enough, CSX has notified the Village of Evergreen Park of the temporary closure of the railroad crossing at 94th Street and Kedzie Avenue beginning Oct. 11.

Improvements will be made to the track and railbed. The work is expected to last for two weeks. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes during the closure and to follow posted detours.
