Vote Yes For A New Central Middle School And The Future Of The Children Of Evergreen Park On Nov. 3: Letter

EVERGREEN PARK, IL—We, as residents of Evergreen Park, are faced with two issues. One issue is the high assessment of property taxes from Cook County.

The second issue is the very important need for a new Central Middle School.

We must not combine these issues together. We must deal with them separately. The first issue is that the property tax assessments that we received are too high. There is one thing you can do: appeal your assessment in writing and take it to assessor’s office at the Worth Township Center before Oct. 15.

The building in its present state has outlived itself as a school. The design and the environment are very uncomfortable, as well as the teachers. There is one area where to get to one classroom, you have to walk through another classroom. The building is in a state where to put money into it is not worth it.

Please do yourself a favor and call the Dist. 124 office and schedule a tour of Central Middle School, and in this way you will see for yourself that a new school is very much needed.
