• District 161 approves reciprocal reporting agreement with Flossmoor police (hfchronicle.com) — Flossmoor School District 161 has approved a new information-sharing agreement with the Flossmoor Police Department that formalizes how they’ll coordinate on student safety, criminal incidents and emergencies. The pact updates an older policy, sets rules for reporting serious offenses, and allows limited police access to school security cameras during emergencies, with no new costs expected. 
• Flossmoor reported 12 licensed child care sites in 2025 (southcooknews.com) — Families in Flossmoor can choose from 12 licensed child care sites, ranging from home-based providers to centers serving infants through age 12, all offering care in English. Statewide funding for child care assistance is temporarily on hold, which Illinois officials warn could affect many families and providers, including those in Flossmoor, if the pause continues.
