Petition Drive for District 91 School Board Election Starts Sept. 25
Four seats on the board will be up in April.

One election is not quite over and already it's time to think about one coming up in April.
Forest Park residents wanting to run in April's election for the Elementary District 91 school board can start circulating their nomination petitions Sept. 25.
Forms for the April 9, 2013, school board election are available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the board secretary's office, 424 Des Plaines Ave.

A candidate’s petition must be filed in the same office no earlier than 8 a.m., on Monday, December 17 and no later than 5 p.m., Monday, December 24.
Four of the seven seats will be up for election: Mary Turek, Lois L. Bugajsky, MaryWin Connor and Joan White. Terms are four years.

To be eligible, a school board member must be, on the date of the April 9 election, a citizen of the United States, a registered voter, at least 18 years old, a resident of the State of Illinois and the school district for at least one year immediately preceding the election.
Elections are non-partisan and board candidates are not required to indicate a political party affiliation.
