• Massive fish tank explosion floods Something Fishy Pet store in Fox Lake (wgntv.com) — A massive 2,000-gallon aquarium suddenly burst inside Something Fishy Pet store on Towne Center Lane in Fox Lake, flooding the decades-old shop and killing many of its 350 fish. Owner Derrick Johnson is working through insurance and a GoFundMe campaign, estimating about $40,000 will be needed to rebuild the custom tank and surrounding display. 
• Antioch Traveling Closet plans giveaway July 26 (shawlocal.com) — Fox Lake residents are eligible for free clothing, school supplies, haircuts, and toiletries at the Antioch Traveling Closet’s Back to School and Community Giveaway on July 26 in Antioch.
