AEDs Will Be Posted At More Frankfort Parks
Due to a grant and support from community partners, the park district will expand its number of parks that will have AEDs.

FRANKFORT, IL — Several more AEDs will be purchased for Frankfort parks after a pilot program earlier this year. In the spring, the park district provided an AED at Commissioners Park; the AED was mounted outside the concession area near the ball fields and was available at all times.
Now, due to a grant and support from community partners, the park district will expand its number of parks that will have AEDs, the district said in its newsletter.
The Sudden Cardiac Awareness Research Foundation awarded a grant to the Park District that will fund an AED for Main Park. Also, the Frankfort Falcon Athletic Association, Frankfort Baseball
and Frankfort Girls Softball program are sharing in the cost of AEDs that will be posted at Commissioners, Main and Jackson Park.

The park district said those parks have organized athletic activities with a significant volume of players and spectators in attendance.
"The hope is that the AEDs are never needed but should they be, park users will have access," the park district said.
