Alternative To Com Ed Offered In Frankfort
The village will offer Homefield Energy-Dynegy as an approved energy alternative as part of the Will Electric Aggregation Group.

FRANKFORT, IL -- Frankfort who have been dreading their monthly Com Ed bill for years will soon have a temporary alternative. The village, as a member of the Will Electric Aggregation Group, will offer Homefield Energy-Dynegy as an approved alternative to Com Ed beginning on Oct. 1. The alternative is currently slated to only be an option for one year, however.
The Homefield offer provides a fixed rate of $.07190/kWh, while Cm Ed's price for the year will be $.07276/kWh. It equates to a 1 percent savings in the supply portion of the electric bill for residents who take the Homefield option.
“The Village of Frankfort will continue to work with the Will Electric Aggregation Group to provide the best rates for our community," Frankfort Mayor Jim Holland said. "Through this program, our residents have the opportunity to join or opt out without penalties.”
