Baby Contest, Kids Mechanical Bull and More at Mokena Farm & Barn Fest

Mokena’s 10th Annual Farm & Barn Fest is scheduled for this Saturday, Aug. 16, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the Mokena Community Park District’s landmark Yunker Farm, 10824 W. La Porte Road.

A kids mechanical bull called Angus McRodeo, new this year, will be among the attractions, as well as a petting zoo.

A flea market will take place in the soccer fields at The Oaks Recreation & Fitness Center, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

At 5:30 p.m., The MG3 Band will performed, followed by Slamabama.

Another highlight is the Baby Contest: “The 1st Place girl OR boy in each division will receive a trophy and prize package including a piggy bank with $25 cash from State Bank of Illinois-Mokena, TSS photography gift certificate, Four classes of Play & Learn at Gymboree Play & Music Orland Hills and $25 Gymboree Gymbucks, stuffed animal and more! Total prize package value over $200 dollars.” Registration is $5.
