Car Stolen, Bank Robbery: Frankfort Police Reports

Frankfort Police reports through Jan. 24.

The following information is from the Frankfort Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Jan. 24

  • An unlocked car in the 22400 block of Merriton was entered. Entry was also made to the garage and a car was stolen. Miscellaneous items were also stolen from the car. The stolen car was found in Frankfort later that day after it had been involved in an accident.
  • An unlocked car in the 10400 block of Brookridge Creek Drive was entered. Nothing was reported missing.
  • A bank robbery was reported at 4:40 p.m. at First Savings Bank of Hegewisch. Two men robbed the bank and fled in an unknown car. No one was injured during the incident.
