“I am so proud of our students," said director Janet Kuester. "Students begin preparing for this contest in late January. They must work consistently with their teacher to prepare their pieces to the best of their ability. The contest gives the students the motivation to practice and do their best. It also gives the students an opportunity to see other children of the same age play. They like to hear the music performed by their peers and often come back inspired to learn new pieces that they hear performed at the competition.”
