Orchestral Landscapes with Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra

From IPO's website:

After three seasons with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Austrian David Danzmayr, leads the IPO with violinist Marie Christine Klettner. Danzmayr offers authoritative interpretations of three works spanning Mendelssohn’s mature period. The Hebrides overture paints an orchestral landscape of the composer’s honeymoon visit to Scotland’s Fingal’s Cave. Miss Klettner, a winner of the Louis Spohr Competition for Young Violinists, is sure to dazzle in the Violin Concerto, one of classical music’s most perfect compositions. After intermission, the powerful Reformation Symphony evokes a flood of profound emotion culminating in a glorious “Amen.”
