UPDATE: No One Hurt in Frankfort Square House Fire
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the Tuesday afternoon blaze. Donations for the family will be collected at Hilda Walker Intermediate School on Wednesday.

No one was injured Tuesday after an early-afternoon fire burned through a house in the 20100 block of Rosewood Drive in Frankfort Square.
Firefighters from the responded to a report at about 12:18 p.m. of a garage fire that was spreading quickly, said Battalion Chief Sean Fierce. By the time the first company arrived at the scene, fire had spread to the first and second floors and had begun to melt the siding of a neighboring house, he added.
It took crews from Frankfort, Mokena and Matteson about 20 minutes to extinguish the blaze, Fierce said, adding that the damage to the house was mostly from smoke and water but structurally unharmed.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Fierce said.
The owner of the house, Brian McNally, was the only one home when the fire started, but he was able to escape unharmed, said Diane Lebensorger, the owner's mother-in-law. Lebensorger's daughter, Katie, was at work at the time, and the owners' two children were in school, Lebensorger said.

Lebensorger said her son-in-law didn't know how the fire started, adding that neighbors told her that they heard an explosion.
The McNallys had four cats, and firefighters rescued three of them but could not find the fourth, Fierce said.
Donations to buy gift cards for the McNallys will be collected at on Wednesday.
