Frankfort Plans Old Plank Road Trail Race
Awards are given to top race finishers in each age category and free refreshments are available.
FRANKFORT, IL — The 23rd annual Old Plank Road Trail 5k Run/Walk will be held Saturday, Oct. 5 in Frankfort. The event is held at Breidert Green located at the corner of Oak and Kansas Streets in downtown Frankfort.
You can register for the race on the village website or at the village Administration Office at 432 W. Nebraska. Advance registration is available until Friday, Sept. 27. Pre-race registration begins at 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. on the day of the rice.
The village said there will be a pre-race warm up at 9:15 a.m. and the race begins promptly at 9:30 a.m. Participants are encouraged to arrive early to check in and enjoy the pre-race activities. The fee for pre-registration is $15/person; $10/children 10 & under; or $20/person race-day registration. T-shirts are guaranteed to all pre-registered participants.

“The Old Plank Road Trail 5K Run/Walk continues to be a favorite among the many events in Frankfort and grows each year. The village invites runners and walkers to join us during this special event and enjoy our beautiful Old Plank Road Trail and downtown area,” Mayor Jim Holland said in a release.
