Frankfort Community Meetings Planned To Discuss Crime, Safety

Meetings will be held by the village of Frankfort and concerned unincorporated residents.

FRANKFORT, IL — After continued car burglaries and other crimes in the Lincoln-Way area, communities have planned meetings with local police to discuss the issue and what is being done.

Concerned residents in Frankfort Square will hold a community meeting with the Will County Sheriff's Office at 7 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Frankfort Square Park District, 7540 W. Braemar Lane. Organizers said officers will discuss crime in the area, and there will be a Q&A with residents. This meeting is for residents who live in unincorporated Frankfort, Mokena, New Lenox or Tinley Park.

The village of Frankfort has also planned a town hall meeting for 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10 at the village administration building, 432 W. Nebraska St. The village said information will be provided by the Frankfort Police Department and the Will County State's Attorney's Office.
