Frankfort Fire District Seeking Trustee Applicants

The vacancy is due to the resignation of a Trustee.

FRANKFORT, IL — The Frankfort Fire Protection District Board of Trustee is seeking applications to fill a Trustee vacancy, due to the resignation of a Trustee.

Trustee Donna Vegter resigned last month, due to a change in residency, Board President Robert Jacobs said.

Those who are interested in the appointment to fill the vacancy can submit a letter of interest and resume, addressed to the Board President, by 5 p.m. Aug. 25. Documents can be mailed, or hand-delivered to the District’s administrative office at 333 W. Nebraska St., Frankfort, or emailed to jacobs@frankfortfire.org, according to the district website.

The appointment will be until the next consolidated election in April 2025.

The Board will review all submitted letters and resumes and conduct personal interviews, before making a final decision at a future Board meeting, according to the district website. Not all applicants will receive a personal interview.
