Kidnapping In Frankfort: Fourth Man Taken Into Custody, Charged

FRANKFORT, IL — A fourth man has been arrested in connection with the kidnapping of a woman in Frankfort in November 2019, police said. David Gilmore, 20, of Chicago, was taken into custody Tuesday in Chicago by the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.
In December, three men were also arrested and charged in connection with the kidnapping, as well as the abduction of a man in New Lenox. The incident in Frankfort happened Nov. 16, 2019, when a woman was held at gunpoint at a Chase Bank ATM and then driven around in her own car while the men used her debit card to buy goods at various stores, police said. Police do not believe Gilmore was involved in the New Lenox abduction.
Gilmore has been charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery, armed robbery and aggravated unlawful restraint. Police said a warrant was issued for his arrest on March 2, and he was taken into custody at his home in Chicago Tuesday.

Gilmore is in the custody of the Will County Adult Detention Facility and is being held on $750,000 bond.
