Frankfort Park District Remains Closed Until June 1

People can go for a walk, run or ride your bikes at the parks with members of your household, and fishing is permitted in groups of two.

FRANKFORT, IL — Frankfort Park District will remain closed until June 1. According to a news release from the district, all playgrounds, ballfields, basketball courts, tennis and sand volleyball courts, disc golf, dog park, garden plots, the skate park and the parking lots at Commissioners and Main parks remain closed.

The park district will reopen offices on June 1.

The district said people can go for a walk, run or ride your bikes at the parks with members of your immediate household, and fishing is permitted in groups of no more than two people. The restrooms at the parks also remain closed.

All programs scheduled to begin before June 1 will either be canceled, or the start pushed back, and information on individual programs will be emailed to those registered. According to the district, online registration is on hold until it can determined when programs will be able to be held.
