Indiana Man Stabs Former Friend In Frankfort: Cops
Novak has had bond set at $3 million, and is at Will County Adult Detention Facility.

FRANKFORT, IL — An Indiana man has been charged after forcing his way into a former friend's home in Frankfort and stabbing them, Frankfort police said. Joshua Novak, 27, of Highland, Indiana, was charged with home invasion, unlawful restraint, domestic battery and violating an order of protection.
According to police, Novak went to a home in the 200 block of Locust Street to meet with a former friend on May 17 at 11:37 p.m. When Novak arrived at the residence, he entered by force and battered the victim. Novak used a knife to stab/cut the victim in the stomach and also cut them along the forehead.
Police said they were called to the home and apprehended Novak about a block away from the scene. Novak was processed at the Frankfort Police Department and was transferred to Will County Adult Detention Facility.

The victim was treated at the hospital for their injuries.
Novak has had bond set at $3 million, with bail at $300,000. As of May 20, he had not been released from jail. His next court date is May 21.
