Lincoln-Way East eSports Team Heads To First-Ever IHSA State Final

The team from Lincoln-Way East qualified in Rocket League for Saturday's state finals.

FRANKFORT, IL — Lincoln-Way East High School eSports team has qualified for the first-ever IHSA eSports state finals, which will be held on Saturday at Evergreen Park High School.

The first state finals includes video games like Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros and Rocket League.

According to the District, the Lincoln-Way East team had students qualify in Rocket League thanks to their performance at sectional competition.

The Lincoln-Way East team is coached by Bruce Hartman, Laura Hartman and Patrick Spreadbury. According to IHSA, team members include sophomores Elisha Adams and Colin Keener, and seniors Peter Flores and Jacob Hartman.
